Description

  • Support customers by solving complex installation, configuration, and data exploration requests.
  • Serve as a technical leader in Java and .NET APM agents and Alerts, with the ability to ramp quickly into other agents as needed.
  • Collaborate with fellow Support Engineers to investigate and resolve customer problems.
  • Identify recurring or systemic issues and recommend ways to address them.
  • Advocate for customers by sharing feature requests and bug feedback with the Product organization.
  • Contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation and Knowledge Centered Support (KCS).
  • Participate in training and ongoing learning across programming languages and product areas.
  • Work day shift hours from 8am-5pm PT Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Mentor and pair with team members to support mutual growth.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting programming languages and network essentials.
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Distributed Tracing, Java, .NET, and Node.js, with exposure to Python, Go, PHP, and Ruby as additional communities of practice.
  • Experience with AWS and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building, maintaining, or testing applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems creatively when the answer is not obvious.
  • High empathy and the ability to support customers effectively even in difficult situations.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to share knowledge and mentor teammates.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role supporting back-end programming languages, preferably including Java, OpenTelemetry, and Distributed Tracing.
  • Experience in a DevOps environment or Software Engineering role.
  • AWS or Azure Cloud Certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with observability tools such as New Relic, Logstash, Elastic, AWS Lambda, or Azure Functions.
  • Experience programming in or supporting customers with .NET, PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • Must be able to work PT hours from one of the listed U.S. time zones (ET, CT, MT, or PT).
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
