Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding security challenges, business priorities, and risk posture.
  • Partner with Account Managers and Sales Directors to drive cybersecurity pipeline, opportunity qualification, and deal progression.
  • Provide pre-sales support with sales and engineering teams to shape solutions for customer business and technical needs.
  • Present New Era's cybersecurity value proposition to executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CISOs, CFOs, and board members.
  • Lead consultative, services-led sales engagements that align advisory, integration, and managed security offerings.
  • Define requirements, solution approach, and value positioning, then transition detailed design and delivery to Cyber Solutions Architects.
  • Develop and execute account-level security strategies aligned to frameworks such as zero trust.
  • Advise clients on AI security posture, including LLM and GenAI risk, AI governance, and AI-augmented security operations.
  • Coach field sales teams on cybersecurity positioning, qualification, and messaging to improve pipeline and win rates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key technology partners to support account alignment, deal registration, and joint go-to-market motions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand consulting, integration, and managed security services within client environments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and differentiation.
  • Contribute to repeatable offerings, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that scale the cybersecurity business.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership to strengthen New Era's market presence and credibility in cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Security and/or Managed Security Services.
  • Experience driving revenue in a pre-sales, overlay, or security advisory role within an IT services, MSSP, or systems integrator environment.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence CIO, CISO, CFO, board-level, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity domains including endpoint and identity security, cloud security, SASE/SSE, SIEM and security operations, data security, exposure management, and AI security.
  • Experience with security consulting services such as risk assessments, audits, penetration testing, tabletop and incident response exercises, red/purple team, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to lead consultative engagements that connect security investments to business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, GIAC, CCSP, or CCSK preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards such as NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, NY DFS Cybersecurity Regulation, SEC cybersecurity disclosure rules, CCPA/CPRA, and NIST AI RMF preferred.
  • Experience building or scaling a cybersecurity practice, overlay model, or go-to-market motion preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native, containers/Kubernetes, multi-cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments preferred.
  • Highly proficient in AI tool use and efficient use of AI products for productivity and client engagement.
  • Fluency in AI security topics, including LLM risk, GenAI governance, and AI-augmented security operations.
  • Working technical knowledge of security technologies across endpoint/EDR/XDR, identity security and ITDR, cloud security/CNAPP, SASE/SSE, SIEM and next-gen SIEM, MDR, data security, exposure management/CTEM, and AI security, including familiarity with vendors such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Microsoft Security, Zscaler, Cisco/Splunk, SailPoint, and Orca.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • English language proficiency required.
  • Ability to travel 20-25% and attend client meetings and industry events.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $125,000 to $150,000 plus commissions.
  • Target OTE of $250,000 to $300,000.
