Description

  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS architectures for new builds and migrations.
  • Lead systems design for high availability, disaster recovery, multi-account environments, network topology, and performance.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Develop production automation and tooling in Python and Bash, with contributions to Java or Node.js services as needed.
  • Use and review AI-assisted outputs for infrastructure, scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead client workshops, architecture reviews, and technical discussions, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement observability and lead incident-response and post-mortem practices.
  • Embed security and compliance controls, including least-privilege IAM, encryption, and guardrails.
  • Mentor engineers and establish technical standards across the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles, including 2+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
  • Deep hands-on AWS expertise across VPC, IAM, Organizations, EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and cost optimization.
  • Experience designing production distributed systems for scale, resilience, and fault tolerance.
  • Strong Python and Bash automation skills, with working proficiency in Java or Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and containers or Kubernetes.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants and agents, with the ability to validate output for security, correctness, and cost.
  • Experience leading client or stakeholder engagements and presenting architecture decisions to leadership.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
  • Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD (preferred).
  • Consulting, professional services, AI/LLM tooling, or multi-cloud experience with Azure or GCP (preferred).
