Description

  • Support user research on game players by uncovering behaviors, motivations, emotions, and experience needs to generate actionable insights.
  • Assist with research across multiple game products using methods such as player recruitment, surveys, participant recruitment, user interviews, and playtest coordination.
  • Design and analyze surveys to support research initiatives and product development.
  • Coordinate and execute playtests and other user research activities.
  • Work closely with product development teams to deliver research insights and recommendations for game design decisions.
  • Track and help resolve user experience issues throughout the development process.
  • Monitor emerging trends in the gaming and entertainment industries and contribute market insights to product strategy.
  • Immerse yourself in games and player communities to better understand player needs and market context.

Requirements

  • Passion for video games and a strong understanding of the North American gaming market and player behaviors.
  • At least three months of experience playing PC shooters or MMORPGs is preferred.
  • Experience conducting surveys and/or user interviews is preferred.
  • Background in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Communication, Statistics, User Research, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to derive meaningful insights from player behaviors, verbal feedback, and motivations.
  • Available to intern at least three days per week for a minimum of three months.
  • Ability to commit to six months is preferred.
  • Strong interest in the latest AI technologies and applications.
  • Familiarity with at least two AI tools such as Claude or Codex.
  • Ability to adjust working hours as needed to collaborate across China Standard Time (CST).
  • Fluent in English and able to conduct user interviews and collaborate with global teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
