Description

  • Set technical direction for the content extraction and transformation team on AWS.
  • Lead architectural decisions using OCR technologies such as Tesseract and Apryse OCR.
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using AWS services, Kafka, and modern data pipelines.
  • Build production-grade applications across C#/.NET, AWS, and document extraction/transformation technologies.
  • Design scalable REST and GraphQL APIs for the front end and third-party integrations.
  • Integrate AI-driven services and emerging technologies to improve backend efficiency and customer productivity.
  • Solve complex technical challenges in real-time customer experiences and document processing at scale.
  • Own initiatives from concept through production and ongoing evolution.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested full stack code and create technical documentation.
  • Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, platform, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications at scale on cloud platforms.
  • 5+ years in technical leadership and development roles using OCR technologies.
  • Expert proficiency in C#/.NET.
  • Expert proficiency with OCR technologies such as Tesseract or Apryse.
  • Expert proficiency building event-driven, microservice-based products.
  • Expert proficiency developing on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Expert proficiency with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
  • Expert proficiency in observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, and telemetry, preferably with DataDog.
  • Deep experience building document management or enterprise content management products is preferred.
  • Experience integrating AI services and emerging technologies into production systems is preferred.
  • Legal industry expertise or experience with B2B SaaS in regulated industries is preferred.
