Description

  • Lead a cross-functional team of backend and iOS engineers toward growth and subscription outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Product and Design on growth experiments and feature discovery across mobile and web apps.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product strategy and growth decisions.
  • Ensure strong technical decision-making grounded in product context.
  • Manage delivery by keeping the backlog healthy and scheduling maintenance and tech debt work.
  • Break down work appropriately and keep execution timely.
  • Coach and develop team members while maintaining team health.
  • Support growth and monetization strategy implementation on mission-critical payments platforms.
  • Maintain and build on critical integrations with the Apple and Android app stores and Stripe.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams in close partnership with Product and Design.
  • Strong analytical focus with comfort working through A/B testing and data attribution challenges, ideally in a Growth domain.
  • Experience building highly available third-party integrations that process high-volume data, ideally in a subscription domain.
  • Experience leading consumer-facing development work on native apps using iterative, learning-focused agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical and product judgment with the ability to frame engineering investments as business outcomes.
  • Experience developing high-trust engineering teams through mentorship and coaching.
  • Knowledge of common software engineering patterns and best practices for high-traffic mobile applications.
  • Ability to build for scale while balancing speed, quality, and safety.
  • Preferred: prior software engineering experience focused on native Apple applications (iOS).
