Description

  • Design and implement enterprise data solutions using Databricks.
  • Lead end-to-end Databricks projects, including migrations from legacy platforms.
  • Design and optimize Apache Spark solutions with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Work with Databricks Professional Services teams and clients to define and deliver technical solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD practices and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to data engineering, lakehouse, and data platform modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Analytics.
  • 10+ years of total professional experience.
  • Experience delivering 4–6+ end-to-end Databricks projects in production.
  • Databricks Certification is mandatory; Databricks Associate is the minimum requirement and Professional certification is strongly preferred.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Spark, including internals, window functions, aggregations, and clustering.
  • Experience with legacy-to-Databricks migrations.
  • Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks performance tuning and scalability.
  • Knowledge of GenAI, RAG, Databricks Genie, or Databricks Apps is a plus.
  • English proficiency and availability to work with US time zone overlap.
