Description

  • Engage with UK policymakers, regulators, industry partners, civil society, and other stakeholders to advocate for policy frameworks that support the open web and Mozilla’s product initiatives.
  • Build and execute end-to-end public policy campaigns to raise Mozilla’s profile in the UK and shape policy discussions affecting Mozilla’s products and the open web.
  • Represent Mozilla in external forums, industry groups, public venues, policy events, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate emerging policy issues, regulatory developments, and global trends affecting Mozilla’s products and services across the UK and EU.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and actionable policy insights and recommendations.
  • Lead and manage policy-related projects end-to-end, including timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, and external partners.
  • Coordinate and incorporate input from subject matter experts on the global policy team.
  • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to advise on public policy implications of new product rollouts.
  • Support alignment with EU regulatory developments and related policy efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on technology policy.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the UK policy environment, such as UK Government, Westminster, the CMA, or the ICO.
  • Familiarity with EU policy processes and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Experience managing external policy agencies and delivering policy campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Excellent cross-functional skills and experience working with international teams and a variety of collaborators.
  • Strong policy writing, research, and analysis skills for communicating information to decision makers.
  • Experience in competition and privacy policy is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to civil society or non-profit technology environments is strongly preferred.
