Description

  • Own the roadmap for donor data and CRM systems, including evaluating and building tools that extend or replace parts of the current setup.
  • Design and manage the taxonomy of tags, custom data points, and related data structures for donor engagement.
  • Design automations, agents, forms, views, and workflows that enable team self-service.
  • Build and maintain AI-powered automations for briefing generation, prospecting support, and other fundraising tasks.
  • Identify manual processes that can be automated in partnership with the people performing the work.
  • Do hands-on implementation work including data wrangling, tool configuration, and workflow fixes.
  • Translate evolving needs from fundraising leadership into working systems.
  • Partner directly with front-line fundraisers to understand their workflows before building tools.
  • Document systems and train the team on how to use them.
  • Support data hygiene and reporting for the development team.

Requirements

  • Track record of building data or CRM systems from scratch rather than only administering an existing CRM.
  • Deep experience with AI tools such as Claude and connectors such as Zapier or API integrations as a builder, not just a user.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience for Senior Manager or 2+ years for Director working with AI tools and automations.
  • Generalist, hands-on orientation with comfort working in messy data and designing systems to fix it.
  • Major donor fundraising experience, with 3-5 years for Senior Manager or 5+ years for Director.
  • Ability to quickly learn a complex, non-standard internal process and systematize it.
  • Direct experience with EveryAction or a comparable political/nonprofit CRM is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in progressive advocacy, electoral, or aligned mission spaces is preferred.
  • Experience mentoring or eventually managing junior teammates as the systems function grows is preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

  • Annual salary of $100,000-$110,000 for Senior Fundraising Systems Manager or $110,000-$120,000 for Fundraising Systems Director, based on experience.
