Description

  • Own the design, implementation, and delivery of features and systems across the full stack, from React frontends to Kotlin services and supporting infrastructure.
  • Translate product requirements into clear technical plans that balance speed, quality, and maintainability.
  • Lead technical decisions at the project and product levels and contribute to architecture discussions and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product and clinical teams to understand user needs and shape solutions.
  • Improve engineering foundations, including testing practices, deployment pipelines, observability, and incident response.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to raise the bar for the team.
  • Take part in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Work directly with cross-functional stakeholders to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering production systems.
  • Deep experience with Kotlin or Java, with Kotlin preferred, and backend service development.
  • Solid experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects from requirements through production and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Product sensibility and the ability to work backward from user needs to make pragmatic technical decisions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to break complex problems into manageable pieces.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure fundamentals; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Spring, Terraform, Material UI, GraphQL, or REST is preferred.
