Description

  • Define architectures, requirements, and interfaces for Remote Operation, Fleet Orchestration, and Mapping systems.
  • Design processes that improve interactions between the autonomy stack, operators, and customers.
  • Use data pipelines, simulation suites, and verification and validation campaigns to measure system performance against targets.
  • Coordinate with systems, software, AI, Remote Operations, simulation, and validation teams to improve autonomy systems.
  • Document operations and customer experience workflows and communicate complex system interactions clearly.
  • Evaluate and integrate technologies and methodologies relevant to autonomous vehicles and systems engineering.
  • Design and implement performance metrics across complex system interfaces.
  • Deliver timely, accurate data and insights to autonomous vehicle development teams.
  • Travel to testing sites, primarily in Las Vegas, for approximately 1–2 weeks per quarter.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong Python proficiency and knowledge of modern software development and production practices.
  • Experience with complex system interfaces, interface control documents, and interface design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, and performance evaluation skills.
  • Proficiency with Git and standard version-control workflows.
  • Experience with high-availability infrastructure, customer experience/HMI, or mapping and routing for autonomous vehicle fleets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor data, planning, localization, simulation, regression suites, or V&V strategies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Databricks or Looker, statistical analysis, machine learning, HMI/UX studies, and safety standards including UL 4600, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, or ISO/PAS 8800 is preferred.
