Description

Train, evaluate, and deploy ML models for scene understanding, behavior prediction, and planning.
Design and execute experiments based on input from other machine learning engineers.
Develop and improve metrics to evaluate behavioral model performance across scenarios and robotaxi capabilities.
Release major model updates and analyze offline and on-road evaluation data.
Propose new model architectures and network designs based on published literature and industry trends.
Maintain a high-quality training and evaluation codebase, including dataset generation and evaluation components.
Work with large datasets to derive insights that improve model performance.
Collaborate and mentor teammates on machine learning and engineering work.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of common machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for motion planning, object detection, sensor fusion, motion prediction, and/or multi-object tracking.
Strong track record of solving ambiguous problems efficiently and delivering successful outcomes.
Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, including software design, source control, build processes, code reviews, and testing methods.
Experience with PyTorch or other Python-based deep learning frameworks.
Experience working with large datasets and deriving insights from data.
Experience mentoring and collaborating with others.
Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred: publications in relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, or ICLR.
Preferred: PhD in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics vision.
Preferred: experience working on autonomous vehicles or related fields.
Preferred: experience deploying models into real-world environments.
Preferred: strong programming skills in C++ and/or CUDA.
Remote work within the United States is supported, with occasional travel.

Benefits

Base salary range of $146,000 to $225,000 USD.
Additional compensation may include a bonus or company equity.
