Description

Train, evaluate, and deploy ML-based scene understanding, behavior prediction, and planning models.
Design and execute experiments based on input from other machine learning engineers.
Prototype and improve metrics for evaluating behavioral models across scenarios and robotaxi capabilities.
Analyze off-line and on-road evaluation data to support timely major model releases.
Propose new architectures and network designs based on published research and industry trends.
Maintain a high-quality training and evaluation codebase, including dataset generation and evaluation components.
Collaborate and mentor others on technical work and model development.

Requirements

Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
In-depth understanding of common machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for motion planning, object detection, sensor fusion, motion prediction, and/or multi-object tracking.
Strong track record of solving ill-defined problems and delivering successful outcomes efficiently.
Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, including software design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, and testing methods.
Experience with PyTorch or other Python-based deep learning frameworks.
Experience working with large datasets and deriving insights from data.
Experience mentoring and collaborating with others.
Publications in relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, or ICLR are preferred.
PhD in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics vision is preferred.
Experience working on autonomous vehicles or related fields is preferred.
Experience deploying models into real-world environments is preferred.
Strong programming skills in C++ and/or CUDA are preferred.
Ability to support remote work within the United States with occasional travel.

Benefits

Base salary range of $146,000 to $225,000 USD.
