Description

  • Lead architecture and development of multimodal foundation-model perception systems and knowledge generalization across vehicle generations.
  • Architect and scale synthetic-data generation and sensor-simulation capabilities for long-tail scenarios and closed-loop evaluation.
  • Transfer knowledge from large teacher and foundation models to efficient, real-time onboard perception models using distillation and post-training techniques.
  • Productionize and deploy perception solutions across autonomous vehicle fleets.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to senior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in machine learning, computer science, robotics, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • In-depth understanding of machine-learning and deep-learning algorithms.
  • Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for perception applications such as detection, segmentation, classification, sensor fusion, tracking, or end-to-end perception.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Fluency in Python, scientific-computing libraries, and Python bindings development.
  • Advanced software-engineering knowledge, including design, source control, builds, code reviews, and testing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience mentoring and leading others.
  • Preferred: experience with foundation models, world models, generative scene or sensor simulation, knowledge distillation, model compression, synthetic data, automated labeling, or relevant conference publications.
