Description

  • Support cross-functional partners in Product, Legal, Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations on compliance matters throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Translate global regulatory requirements into practical product and engineering guidance, including business requirements, implementation plans, control requirements, and launch documentation.
  • Build working knowledge of assigned business verticals and the regulatory frameworks that apply to them.
  • Assist with product risk assessments for new offerings and enhancements, including identifying compliance vulnerabilities and mitigation options.
  • Review product features, user communications, marketing materials, policies, procedures, and training materials for regulatory alignment.
  • Coordinate compliance workstreams, including sign-offs, documentation updates, licensing confirmations, control implementation, and regulatory change milestones.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the manager and compliance team.
  • Help prepare products for compliant launch and ongoing operation.
  • Identify where obligations across product lines or jurisdictions intersect or conflict.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in compliance, legal, product operations, or risk within financial services, fintech, payments, or a related regulated environment.
  • Some exposure to crypto or digital assets is preferred.
  • Working understanding of blockchain and digital assets, including on-chain transactions, stablecoin mechanics, and wallet infrastructure.
  • Interest in product development and experience working with product and engineering teams, or eagerness to build that experience earlier in the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to think across business lines and regulatory regimes, including BitLicense, money transmitter obligations, MiCA authorization, trust company requirements, and other jurisdiction-specific obligations.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to manage deliverables with growing independence in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to know when to take initiative and when to escalate to a senior compliance partner for guidance.
  • Progress toward or completion of certifications such as ACAMS, CRMP, CRCM, CCEP, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Exposure to NYDFS regulations, state money transmitter licensing, or other payments and digital asset regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with institutional crypto products, AI-adjacent compliance considerations, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, fraud operations, or compliance operations is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment is preferred.
