Description

  • Lead the design of Monzo’s executive sourcing framework, including standards for research, mapping, and candidate engagement.
  • Partner with Executive Recruiters on live searches and co-own sourcing and research strategy.
  • Design and embed a recruiter-sourcer partnership model with kick-offs, check-ins, stakeholder touchpoints, and feedback loops.
  • Build succession pipelines for C-suite and board roles and prioritise sourcing efforts for maximum impact.
  • Create and maintain detailed market maps of leadership talent across target and adjacent industries.
  • Advise recruiters and senior stakeholders with market insights, competitive intelligence, and talent trends.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion by ensuring pipelines and market maps align with Monzo’s DE&I goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior leadership talent for current and future opportunities.
  • Contribute to projects that strengthen Monzo’s reputation for executive and board hiring excellence.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of executive search systems and processes, including ambitious step-change improvements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience sourcing and researching at the executive or board level, either in-house or at a top-tier executive search firm.
  • Experience leading or building sourcing and research frameworks.
  • Experience with succession planning or proactive pipeline building for senior leadership roles.
  • Track record of partnering effectively with executive recruiters and shaping recruiter-researcher ways of working.
  • Strong ability to create search strategies, map markets, gather industry insights, and maintain high process and data quality.
  • Credibility, discretion, gravitas, and high personal accountability when working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Experience in a high-growth in-house environment and/or exposure to financial services or technology, with a passion for fintech preferred.
  • Learning agility to get up to speed quickly on new markets and manage candidate research, outreach, engagement, and evaluation thoroughly.
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical, data-driven mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate insights clearly to a wide range of audiences.
