Description

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies.
  • Communicate MongoDB’s business value to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales to plan accounts, qualify opportunities, and generate pipeline.
  • Own technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Proactively generate demand through technical initiatives and event participation.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success.
  • Share field feedback with the product team and help improve solutions and processes.
  • Mentor other solutions consulting team members.
  • Stay current on MongoDB products and industry trends through ongoing training.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, including ideally 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Ability to review complex application architectures and recommend improvements using technology.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team through the full deal cycle.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with major cloud providers (preferred).
  • Experience in technical pre-sales, database programming and data models, or data engineering/AI/ML projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message (preferred).
  • MongoDB Certification or Cloud Provider Certification (preferred).
