Description

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating MongoDB’s business value to stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization and qualification, and pipeline generation.
  • Own the technical aspects of the deal cycle, including discovery, demos, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Generate demand through self-driven technical initiatives, events, and account-based marketing activities.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and help ensure customer success and satisfaction.
  • Relay field feedback to product teams and continuously improve MongoDB solutions and internal processes.
  • Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and contribute to team development.
  • Pursue ongoing training and professional development to stay current on MongoDB products and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, and/or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to review complex application architectures and provide improvement guidance using technology.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional sales team through the end-to-end deal cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Business fluency in German, both spoken and written.
  • Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications on major cloud providers (preferred).
  • Experience in a technical pre-sales capacity (preferred).
  • Experience with database programming and data models (preferred).
  • Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects (preferred).
  • Understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message (preferred).
  • MongoDB certification (preferred).
  • Cloud provider certification (preferred).
