Description

  • Understand and improve the current functionality of MongoDB’s networking and observability codebase.
  • Lead medium-sized projects for networking code or observability frameworks from technical design through delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues through ideation, requirements gathering, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Own and exemplify MongoDB’s leadership principles in day-to-day work.
  • Fix bugs and contribute to upcoming release series and major-version projects.
  • Review code and participate in design reviews for new features.
  • Continue learning and expanding expertise in networking, observability, and systems internals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience building production-level code.
  • C++ experience is required.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture.
  • Interest in networking, observability, and how computer architecture and internals affect SaaS availability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated to collaborate with colleagues and cross-team stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering and deploying products with cross-team stakeholders (required).
  • Role can be based in New York City or remotely within the United States and Canada.
