Description

  • Design systems, applications, and infrastructure using MongoDB Atlas and the Atlas Developer Data Platform.
  • Advise customers on architectures, patterns, deployment strategies, and MongoDB adoption.
  • Support sales opportunities through technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Explain the business value of MongoDB solutions to technical and executive audiences.
  • Serve as an Atlas Search specialist for complex deal cycles and worldwide pre-sales engagements.
  • Collect customer and field feedback and relay it to Product Management to improve Atlas Search, Vector Search, and AI/ML capabilities.
  • Enable and mentor Solutions Architects on search concepts, business use cases, and demonstration tools.
  • Participate in trade shows and account-based marketing events to generate demand.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and manage multiple opportunities in parallel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of search expertise with Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, Algolia, Lucidworks, or similar technologies.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of enterprise software pre-sales experience.
  • Ability to code with at least two modern scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, C++, C#, or Java.
  • Experience with scalable, highly available distributed systems.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers preferred.
  • Experience with database programming and data models preferred.
  • MongoDB or major cloud provider certification preferred.
