Description

  • Define and own the strategic vision, product strategy, and roadmap for MongoDB’s Python developer experience.
  • Champion MongoDB’s relationship with the Python community and serve as the internal advocate for Python developers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, documentation, DevRel, community, product marketing, and product analytics teams to deliver cohesive developer experiences.
  • Build and document a Python application with MongoDB during onboarding to gain firsthand insight into the developer experience.
  • Engage with community forums, conferences, and open-source contributors to validate direction and build trust with developers.
  • Explore customer problems, distill use cases, and translate them into clear product direction and business cases.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform product decisions and prioritize roadmap work.
  • Track software engineering trends across Python and adjacent ecosystems and identify strategic opportunities for new capabilities and partnerships.
  • Work with thought leaders from language communities and participate in go-to-market activities such as campaigns, surveys, and sales messaging.
  • Own execution from problem exploration through shipping new capabilities that improve adoption and developer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product management experience shipping developer-facing tools, integrations, or APIs.
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience developing web applications in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI, and Flask.
  • Experience with or exposure to machine learning and data science concepts and tools, including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and model deployment.
  • Experience with AI development and Python AI frameworks or libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply and convincingly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to distill customer use cases and requirements and write comprehensive business cases.
  • Curiosity, a positive attitude, and a commitment to continued learning.
  • Willingness to foster an inclusive and respectful work environment aligned with MongoDB’s core values.
  • Ability to work from Dublin or remotely in Ireland.
  • Live coding interview participation to demonstrate Python idioms, patterns, and runtime awareness.
