Description

  • Draft, structure, and negotiate public sector and commercial agreements, including SaaS, cloud licensing, professional services, and subcontracting contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on U.S. and international government procurement laws, including FAR, DFARS, GSA schedules, and FedRAMP requirements.
  • Support the development and refinement of the public sector compliance program.
  • Advise cross-functional teams throughout the public sector sales cycle, including RFP reviews, proposal risk assessments, audits, and disputes.
  • Build and maintain legal playbooks, contract templates, and training materials to improve negotiation efficiency and sales enablement.
  • Monitor evolving technology laws, government contracting regulations, and export controls to identify and mitigate legal risk.
  • Partner cross-functionally to launch new programs that support growth in the commercial and public sector businesses.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of U.S. public sector transactions experience, preferably at a law firm and a high-growth technology company.
  • Strong working knowledge of government procurement frameworks and contracting vehicles, including FAR, DFARS, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex contractual issues, assess risk, exercise strong business judgment, and provide clear legal advice.
  • Curiosity and passion for technology.
  • Willingness to work hard and overcome challenges.
  • Phenomenal leadership and teamwork skills, with willingness to take on new responsibility.
