Description

  • Support the sales organization to improve both tactical and strategic opportunity outcomes.
  • Develop Business Value Consulting collateral for internal and external use when new products are released or practice gaps are identified.
  • Mentor sellers and strengthen the team’s value-selling capabilities.
  • Engage customers with a value-based selling approach to define the current state, desired future state, and delivery plan.
  • Use business, technical, and financial analysis to understand customer baseline and future-state capabilities.
  • Create and present business cases and forecast the business impact customers can achieve with MongoDB solutions.
  • Translate technical concepts and recommendations into business benefits for management and executive audiences.
  • Travel as required throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, preferably in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Business/Technology Strategy Consultant, with some business case experience.
  • 1-3+ years of experience working for a vendor in a business value consulting role.
  • Enterprise business and financial modeling experience, including familiarity with ROI, TCO, NPV, and IRR.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • An inquisitive personality that supports interviewing both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience addressing executive and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, technology stacks, software development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, and DevOps, and RDBMS and/or NoSQL software.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to customer situations and work in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience working for a software vendor is preferred.
