Description

  • Support the sales and delivery of application modernization engagements for MongoDB customers.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions with customer architects, developers, and business leaders.
  • Advise sales teams on multi-threaded account strategies and coordinate MongoDB and ecosystem resources toward account plans.
  • Deliver complex demonstrations involving multiple applications deployed on Docker and GitHub Codespaces.
  • Work with customer stakeholders to modernize legacy applications into service-based architectures on MongoDB.
  • Contribute to approaches for analyzing legacy code bases and transforming legacy code into modern application frameworks.
  • Support automated testing and side-by-side validation between legacy and modern systems.
  • Communicate technical and business concepts clearly to technology and business leadership.

Requirements

  • 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, and/or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with modern software development processes and architectures, including agile development, domain-driven design, microservices, test-driven development, event-driven architectures, operational data layers, and test automation.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers is preferred.
  • Experience with database programming and data models is preferred.
  • Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects is preferred.
  • Experience transforming legacy systems and platforms into modern technology stacks is preferred.
  • Understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is preferred.
  • MongoDB Certification is preferred.
  • Cloud Provider Certification is preferred.
  • Must be located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Gurugram near an airport, with ability to visit customer sites in APAC.
