Description

  • Design the full architecture of the core platform and its supporting systems.
  • Make key technical decisions on the technology stack, infrastructure, and overall system design with minimal oversight.
  • Lead and contribute to the initial production-ready implementation.
  • Establish engineering standards, development practices, and a high bar for code quality across the team.
  • Contribute to hiring efforts, including technical evaluations as the team expands.
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO and Head of Engineering.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in systems or backend engineering.
  • Experience with high-performance or financial systems such as exchanges, brokers, or trading platforms.
  • Strong systems programming background, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols including TCP/UDP, WebSocket, and FIX.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming patterns.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent data stores.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems design principles.
  • Commercial experience with Rust is a plus.
