Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated acceptance and end-to-end testing infrastructure for the continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to analyze and challenge requirements for comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify system components, edge cases, and architectural friction points that need stronger verification.
  • Participate in pair programming, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions across engineering teams.
  • Run targeted exploratory testing sessions to uncover hidden failure modes and validate the end-user experience.
  • Validate individual software components and orchestrate system-level end-to-end tests.
  • Design and test failure scenarios, resiliency behavior, and system edge cases.

Requirements

  • Proven experience validating software components and executing end-to-end system tests.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and testing failure scenarios, resiliency, and edge cases.
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming methodologies, with a preference for core Java.
  • Extensive background in structured exploratory testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery environments is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in Extreme Programming (XP) or structured pair programming workflows is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience with Selenium for UI automation and front-end verification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with distributed, asynchronous, or event-driven architectures is advantageous.
  • Understanding of core networking protocols and messaging frameworks is preferred.
  • Domain knowledge of electronic trading platforms, especially fixed income markets, is strongly preferred.
  • An inquisitive, analytical mindset with strong communication skills and comfort navigating ambiguity.
