Description

  • Build and maintain Databricks environments across development, test, and production.
  • Configure and optimize Databricks workspaces, clusters, and job orchestration.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar tools.
  • Develop automation for platform provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and maintenance.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks, workflows, and deployments.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, security, and cost optimization.
  • Implement RBAC, encryption, audit logging, and governance controls.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues, cluster performance concerns, and workload failures.
  • Support integration with cloud services, data warehouses, and streaming platforms.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and cloud infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or IT operations.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Databricks administration experience.
  • Strong expertise with Databricks Workspace Administration, Apache Spark, Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.
  • Experience supporting Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or other secure cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and platform monitoring.
  • Experience implementing RBAC, encryption, audit logging, and security controls.
  • Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.
  • Strong troubleshooting and platform support experience.
  • Databricks Certified Associate or Platform Administrator certification preferred.
  • Experience with Unity Catalog administration, CI/CD automation, DevOps best practices, streaming technologies, enterprise data warehouse platforms, or federal cloud certifications preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or higher.
  • Prior experience supporting federal agencies and Public Trust environments preferred.
