Description

  • Define DevOps strategy and lead infrastructure architecture across multi-environment, multi-region cloud systems.
  • Architect and own scalable Kubernetes platforms and containerized infrastructure.
  • Own infrastructure-as-code strategy and standards across environments.
  • Lead DevSecOps implementation, including secrets management, compliance, auditing, IAM, and zero-trust networking.
  • Drive platform reliability, performance SLAs, and cost optimization across production systems.
  • Lead cloud migrations and platform modernization initiatives.
  • Own observability strategy and production reliability practices.
  • Lead the design and operation of AI/ML platform infrastructure, including model serving, GPU orchestration, LLM gateway observability, vector stores, and AI/ML CI/CD.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and leadership on platform strategy and delivery goals.
  • Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional DevOps or platform engineering experience, including leadership of complex platform initiatives.
  • Expert scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, Java, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Deep cloud expertise across at least one major cloud platform.
  • Expert Kubernetes and container orchestration skills.
  • Expert infrastructure-as-code skills across multiple tools.
  • Strong CI/CD architecture experience at scale.
  • Strong DevSecOps experience, including secrets management, compliance, and auditing.
  • Experience with networking, IAM, security architecture, and zero-trust principles in cloud environments.
  • Experience with service mesh, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience with AI/ML platform infrastructure, including model serving, GPU workload orchestration, LLM gateway observability, vector store infrastructure, and AI/ML CI/CD.
  • Demonstrated leadership and technical mentoring experience.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Day-to-day usage and expert knowledge of AI tools such as Claude and Cursor.
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, CKA, or Azure DevOps Engineer are preferred.
  • FinOps experience is a plus.
  • Experience designing and provisioning HPC cluster infrastructure across AWS, CoreWeave, GCP, and OCI is helpful.
  • Experience with HPC job schedulers such as Slurm or equivalent is helpful.

  • Remote role based in the US.
  • 4-month contract with potential to extend.
  • Salary range of $126,000 to $174,000 USD.
