Description

  • Partner with engineering teams to improve the software development lifecycle for speed, safety, and reliability.
  • Deploy AI tools such as Claude Code across the engineering organization.
  • Build AI agents to assist with on-call response and triage automation.
  • Support large-scale data systems and low-latency query infrastructure.
  • Own cloud administration across Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine, including Terraform, cost management, networking, and security practices.
  • Set Kubernetes standards for deployment, observability, and developer experience, and help teams with upgrades and GKE feature adoption.
  • Own observability pipelines, including Prometheus metrics and OpenTelemetry tracing systems.
  • Maintain GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines and a GitHub-native delivery process.
  • Maintain cloud development environments through the devbox system.
  • Procure and manage SaaS tooling relationships for engineering, and run new engineer onboarding.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Production experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Production experience managing infrastructure in a major cloud provider such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of coding agents like Claude Code.
  • Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or distributed tracing for application monitoring and performance analysis, preferred.
  • Experience with service mesh, preferred.
  • Excellent documentation skills, preferred.
  • Proficiency with GitHub Actions and the GitHub ecosystem, preferred.
  • Experience building deployment pipelines, with GitOps experience preferred.
  • Bazel expertise, preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform, preferred.
  • Experience with cloud IAM systems and security best practices, preferred.
  • Experience implementing Internal Developer Platforms such as Backstage, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SRE principles such as Service Level Objectives, preferred.
  • Interest in open source, preferred.
