Description

  • Administer and support Oracle Linux systems, including patching, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage OCI infrastructure resources such as compute, VCNs, subnets, routing, and load balancers.
  • Configure and maintain OCI security controls, including IAM, network security groups, security lists, and compartments.
  • Design and troubleshoot OCI networking and connectivity issues.
  • Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
  • Support SFTP and mail services, including secure access, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform system monitoring, backup coordination, and disaster recovery support.
  • Participate in production support, incident response, and on-call rotations.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, design docs, and RFCs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience administering Linux in production, preferably Oracle Linux or closely related RHEL.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OCI administration, including compute, networking, IAM, and security.
  • Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database environments.
  • Deep proficiency with Terraform, including modules, workspaces, remote state, and testing.
  • Experience with Ansible, including roles, collections, idempotency, and vault.
  • Proficiency with Bash scripting.
  • Experience supporting SFTP and SMTP/mail services.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, proxies, firewalls/security groups, and PKI/TLS certificates.
  • Experience with systems administration topics such as kernel, systemd, SELinux/AppArmor, LVM/filesystems, iSCSI/NFS, SSH hardening, patch management, vulnerability management, and baseline hardening.
  • Comfort working with both modern deployment practices and older operational processes such as in-place upgrades and change windows.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents across OS, network, and platform layers.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to author design docs, runbooks, and RFCs.
  • Must reside in Mexico and applications from outside the region will not be considered.
  • Preferred certifications such as Oracle Linux, OCI Architect Professional/Associate, RHCSA/RHCE, Terraform Associate, or Ansible Automation.
  • Preferred experience with Packer, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, OCI Bastion/Cloud Guard, and Security Zones.
  • Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, admission controls, image signing, and runtime policies.
  • Preferred experience with monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and high availability or disaster recovery environments.
