Description

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and retire hardware, servers, and software systems across the manufacturing line.
  • Design, configure, and support factory network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, routing, wireless, and segmentation.
  • Build, harden, and maintain physical and virtual servers for manufacturing applications.
  • Monitor system, server, and network performance and resolve issues that could affect production throughput or on-time manufacturing.
  • Support the deployment and integration of factory stations, endpoints, and production equipment with engineering and operations teams.
  • Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, server, and network issues in time-sensitive production environments.
  • Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, and recommend improvements to scalability and reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems or Network Administrator in manufacturing, industrial, or high-throughput environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux system administration, including server buildout, virtualization, imaging, and endpoint lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing, DNS, and VPN services.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, server, and networking issues in production-critical environments.
  • Experience with asset tracking, configuration management, and maintaining accurate hardware and systems inventories.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including access controls, endpoint hardening, and secure network design.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET or TS clearance.
  • Experience supporting MES, ERP, factory software platforms, OT networks, PLCs, or SCADA systems is preferred.
  • Experience with hybrid IT/OT network architectures, virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, or containerized environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or SCCM is preferred.
  • Experience with asset management platforms, CMDBs, or reliability engineering practices like redundancy and failover planning is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Server+, Azure Administrator, CCNA, or ITIL are preferred.
