Description

  • Design and train novel multimodal architectures that combine text, sketches, diagrams, screenshots, code, and other inputs into a unified representation of user intent.
  • Research emerging methods in LLMs, computer vision, graph neural networks, and related fields, then prototype and ship them into production.
  • Make technical strategy decisions on model selection, build-versus-buy trade-offs, and fine-tuning approaches such as LoRA and Q-LoRA.
  • Bridge the gap between academic research and scalable, low-latency production systems.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and raise engineering quality across the ML research and engineering organization.
  • Host paper reading groups and mentor research engineers on mathematical fundamentals and experimental design.
  • Tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems involving spatial relationships, diagram understanding, and collaboration signals.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and leadership stakeholders to translate research into product direction.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent deep industrial experience in Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
  • Track record of publishing in top-tier conferences or shipping models used by millions of users.
  • Portfolio of patents, impactful open-source contributions, or first-author publications in NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, or ICLR.
  • Expertise in PyTorch or JAX.
  • Ability to implement complex loss functions from scratch and debug distributed training on massive GPU clusters.
  • Deep experience in at least one of: Generative AI (LLMs/Diffusion), Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), or Geometric Deep Learning.
  • Strong understanding of model trade-offs between accuracy and inference latency.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, production-ready code.
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to product managers, designers, and executives.
  • PhD in a related field plus 4+ years of professional experience shipping ML at scale, or a master’s degree/equivalent experience plus 7+ years of industry experience with at least 2 years at a Senior or Staff level.
