Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals within the assigned region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field medical and scientific inquiries.
  • Act as a subject matter expert at medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, roundtables, investigator meetings, speaker training sessions, and internal meetings.
  • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics.
  • Identify and engage healthcare stakeholders to communicate clinical, scientific, and economic data to providers.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and training to diverse healthcare professional audiences.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial.
  • Support clinical trial site activities and identify opportunities for investigator-sponsored research.
  • Support continuing medical education requests and activities through the unsolicited grants process.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate field insights and document all field activities in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
  • 5+ years of current MSL experience for a Senior MSL role.
  • 3 to 5 years of current MSL experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company for an MSL role.
  • Cardiology, renal, or metabolic experience preferred.
  • 5+ years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research is a plus.
  • Post-doctoral training such as residency or fellowship may count toward medically related experience.
  • Experience with all phases of KOL development and HCP engagement, including drug launches.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication and peer-to-peer collaboration.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and achieve measurable outcomes aligned with corporate goals.
  • Must be located within driving distance of a major international airport, with approximately 50% to 70% travel required.
  • Valid US driver’s license and ability to travel without restrictions.
