Description

Design original optics problems that simulate real physics research workflows.
Create computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
Develop problems that require non-trivial reasoning across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
Base problem design on real research challenges or practical applications in optics and physics.
Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Contribute to project-based AI tasks during active project phases, estimated at 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
Experience with numerical simulation methods.
Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
Creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas.
Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
Strong written English at C1+ level.
CV must be submitted in English.
Willingness to work on a part-time, non-permanent, project-based basis.

Benefits

Up to $35 per hour equivalent, depending on level and pace of contribution.
Project-based paid work with tasks completed on an active-project schedule.
