Description

  • Design original computational physics problems that simulate real physics research workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve using tools such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy.
  • Develop computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
  • Build problems involving non-trivial reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Base problem scenarios on real research challenges or practical physics applications.
  • Verify solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Contribute to project-based tasks during active phases, typically around 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field.
  • Python proficiency for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or any programming language may be considered equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods.
  • Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
  • Creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas.
  • Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
  • Strong written English at C1 level or above.
  • Willingness to work on part-time, non-permanent, project-based assignments.
  • Ability to submit a CV in English and indicate English proficiency.
