Description

Design original computational physics problems that simulate real physics research workflows.
Create problems that require Python programming to solve using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy.
Develop computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
Create non-trivial reasoning problems across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
Base problem designs on real research challenges or practical applications from physics practice.
Verify solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries.
Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Work on project-based tasks during active project periods, estimated at 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
Python proficiency for numerical validation.
Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or another programming language can be considered equivalent.
2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
Experience with numerical simulation methods.
Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
Creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas.
Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
Strong written English at C1+ level.
Willingness to work on part-time, non-permanent, project-based assignments.
