Description

  • Build bots for WhatsApp Business API/Cloud API, Telegram Bot API, Discord, and similar messaging platforms.
  • Design and implement conversational flows, dialogue state, fallback handling, and automated messaging logic.
  • Integrate bots with LLMs such as OpenAI or Anthropic where appropriate for natural language responses.
  • Connect bots to backend services, databases, CRMs, and third-party APIs such as booking, payment, and content systems.
  • Handle webhooks, rate limits, interactive messages, buttons, media, templates, and other platform-specific formats.
  • Review AI-generated bot code and refactor it for correctness, reliability, and error handling.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms to keep bots healthy in production.
  • Design, ship, and maintain complete production-ready bots with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in backend, integration, automation, or bot development.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience building bots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, or similar platforms.
  • Strong command of Python or Node.js for backend bot logic.
  • Solid experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and async request handling.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases for storing conversation state and user data.
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic and prompt design is a strong plus.
  • Experience with hosting and deployment tools or environments such as Docker, serverless, VPS, or PaaS.
  • Portfolio or examples of bots built by the candidate are required.
  • English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or above is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is a plus.
