Description

  • Review logs, configurations, telemetry, and event streams from deployed networks.
  • Label, classify, and analyze network behaviors, incidents, and anomalies.
  • Write scripts and tools to process, clean, and transform network data.
  • Help define schemas and structure for large-scale data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the client team to improve data quality and usability for machine learning systems.
  • Own final escalations, troubleshooting, and root cause analyses for network outages and issues.
  • Support operational automation through scripting and tooling.
  • Work directly with the client team in a hands-on, infrastructure-focused capacity.

Requirements

  • Current experience as a Level 3, Tier 3, or Principal Support Engineer handling final escalations, on-call rotation, RCAs, and outage troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise customer networks, including switches, access points, and firewalls across environments such as retail, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, universities, or hospitality.
  • Scripting experience in support of operations using Python, Bash, Ansible, or PowerShell.
  • Comfort interpreting logs, events, and time-series metrics.
  • Experience automating workflows or working with data pipelines is preferred.
  • Curiosity about how infrastructure data becomes machine learning input.
  • Ability to work full-time.
  • Willingness to work in San Francisco, CA, with in-person work preferred.
  • Interest in autonomous networking systems and data-driven infrastructure.
  • Independent contractor engagement is required.
