Description

  • Support the design and implementation of cloud-based architecture with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to cloud engineers, including reviewing work and helping resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical solutions and support issue resolution.
  • Provide requirement decomposition and engineering expertise to help sustain program requirements.
  • Prepare operating instructions and end-user training materials.
  • Develop and implement cloud governance strategies aligned with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead efforts to automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud engineering best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and architecture reviews.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
  • Certification meeting 8140/8570 standards, such as Security+ or above.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Extensive experience building and leading AWS cloud infrastructure solutions at scale across multiple classification domains (IL5 to IL6+).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.
  • Azure and/or GCP experience preferred.
  • Expert-level experience creating, managing, and hardening cloud desktop OS images such as AMIs across multiple classification domains.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns including microservices, serverless computing, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong cloud security knowledge, including integration with IAM, SSO, and federation systems.
  • Excellent scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Salary range of $174,000 to $220,000.
