Description

  • Manage and review the month-end close process and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Own the external auditor relationship and coordinate internal responses to audit requests and issues.
  • Manage external tax accountants and handle tax-related execution such as new-state registrations and payments.
  • Run the accounts payable and expense payment cycle and troubleshoot the corporate card and expense system.
  • Lead the implementation of new finance systems, including ERP, revenue recognition, and payments tools.
  • Help build an in-house accounting close process over time.
  • Own core accounting and financial operations across tax, payments, and expense management.
  • Work closely with external accountants and other finance professionals to deliver accounting operations efficiently.

Requirements

  • Active CPA certification.
  • Seasoned accounting experience with expertise in US GAAP.
  • Experience with SaaS revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and multi-entity or international accounting.
  • Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Experience managing audits end-to-end.
  • Prior experience in a startup and/or Big 4 audit is a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a rigorous quantitative field.
  • Strong investigative skills and ability to reconstruct what happened when something is off.
  • High attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
  • Based in the US.
