Description

  • Collaborate with data analysts to specify and build customer-facing features.
  • Develop backend services for web and mobile functionality, including transaction search and wire transfers.
  • Build administrative tools that improve support operations, including fraud detection and account management.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs for functions such as sending checks and validating SWIFT codes.
  • Develop frontend features and interfaces in an established TypeScript codebase.
  • Apply TypeScript’s static typing capabilities to prevent errors in financial products.
  • Optimize application performance and build new pages and product features.
  • Collaborate with designers and contribute ideas to improve the product.
  • Perform a combination of frontend and backend development in full-stack roles.
  • Communicate technical reasoning clearly and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an academic program, such as an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Available for a full-time, remote internship lasting 12–16 weeks between January and May.
  • Backend and full-stack candidates: Experience with Haskell or strong willingness to learn it.
  • Backend and full-stack candidates: Familiarity with SQL.
  • Frontend and full-stack candidates: Experience with TypeScript.
  • Frontend candidates: React experience is preferred.
  • Interest in continually improving engineering skills and craft.
  • Curiosity, willingness to share perspectives, and appreciation for high-quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
