Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on plan administration, billing inquiries, and escalated service issues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and strategic support.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, and vendors to manage day-to-day relationships and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and execute renewal decisions, including policy implementations, plan changes, terminations, and enrollment updates.
  • Lead and project manage open enrollment, including communications, meetings, technology updates, and enrollment submissions.
  • Onboard new clients to Melita’s benefits services, including first-time benefits setups and Broker of Record transitions.
  • Ensure client compliance with local, state, and federal benefits regulations and prepare required notices and filings.
  • Collaborate with the department manager to identify problems and develop workflow solutions.
  • Mentor Benefits Specialists and share best practices across teams.
  • Partner with the Employee Services Manager to create knowledge articles for Employee Support Advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Active Life, Accident and Health Producer License, or willingness and ability to obtain licensing in the relevant states during onboarding.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements for license renewal.
  • Advanced employee benefits expertise across small and large group markets.
  • Experience with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary, and ancillary benefits offerings.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state benefits regulations and market practices.
  • Experience using benefits administration and HRIS systems such as ADP, Employee Navigator, Paylocity, or Rippling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork.
