Description

  • Close multi-million dollar event programs for Fortune 5000 and other large corporate clients.
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial cold outreach through contract negotiation and first execution.
  • Build a pipeline through strategic outreach, industry networking, and relationship development without relying on inbound leads.
  • Target clients with global, high-frequency event needs and recurring annual event calendars.
  • Develop and manage relationships with meeting planners and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Lead clients through the sale of solutions by mapping business goals to event production capabilities.
  • Guide cross-functional teams of Producers, Technical Directors, Logistics experts, Production Managers, and Project Managers to deliver event programs.
  • Represent the company in the field, including client meetings, trade shows, booth staffing, and industry events.
  • Deliver $1M in new business within the first 12 months.
  • Maintain ownership of opportunities through qualification, pitching, closing, and early execution support.

Requirements

  • Remote role for candidates located in the United States only.
  • At least 5+ years of event industry experience.
  • Proven track record of building a book of business from the ground up.
  • History of managing $10M+ in lifetime event revenue across a diverse client list.
  • Established high-level relationships within Pharma, FinServ, Tech, and Consulting sectors.
  • Agency-side experience preferred over AV-only hardware sales.
  • Ability to navigate complex decision-making hierarchies and internal client politics.
  • Strong strategic understanding of how to translate client business goals into technical production realities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working in a pure business development role with no inbound opportunities.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $110,000-$150,000.
  • Uncapped commission with total on-target earnings close to $200,000-$300,000.
