Description

  • Design and maintain data extensions, attribute groups, and relational data models in Contact Builder.
  • Develop and optimize SQL query activities for segmentation, suppression, deduplication, and reporting.
  • Build and monitor recurring file-based and API-driven data feeds, validating mappings and troubleshooting timing issues.
  • Configure Journey Builder journeys and maintain Automation Studio automations, including imports, query chains, file drops, and triggered sends.
  • Develop AMPscript and SSJS for personalization and dynamic content in Knak-built emails.
  • Perform technical QA and UAT for data validation, personalization logic, and journey behavior.
  • Manage contact counts, Super Message usage, deduplication, suppression, archival, consent workflows, and A2P 10DLC compliance.
  • Maintain Marketing Cloud Connect, Knak integrations, and REST/SOAP API integrations with Salesforce and third-party platforms.
  • Own internal SFMC reporting and ensure accurate data flows into Salesforce and broader marketing analytics platforms.
  • Maintain documentation, naming conventions, version control, and controlled release and rollback practices.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
  • Advanced SQL experience with SFMC query activities and system data views.
  • Experience building data extensions, recurring imports and feeds, and relational data models.
  • Proficiency with AMPscript, working knowledge of SSJS, and HTML/CSS for email.
  • REST and/or SOAP API integration experience within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and the Salesforce CRM data model.
  • Strong technical QA skills, including independently defining testing requirements and validating builds.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with regulated or healthcare-adjacent marketing data, including HIPAA awareness and PHI segregation, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Data Cloud, Einstein features, reverse-ETL audience activation, or multi-brand SFMC environments is preferred.
