Description

  • Set clear strategic direction that aligns internal work to client outcomes and growth goals.
  • Partner with Client Success to shape insight-led briefs and effective scopes of work.
  • Identify and unlock new business opportunities with internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted senior advisor to external client stakeholders on consumer challenges and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent Monks’ strategic thinking in client sessions, meetings, associations, and key communications.
  • Serve as the senior strategic advisor to the client’s Digital Marketing Sports teams.
  • Shape long-term strategies that align client ambitions with Monks’ capabilities and commercial opportunities.
  • Educate the client on insights, communications planning, and versioning in online and in-person settings.
  • Develop thought leadership on relevant themes such as category and sport evolution, youth culture, and behaviors.
  • Define best practices for how strategy supports an iconic global sports brand and drives consumer breakthroughs.
  • Champion the use of accelerated insights and AI to improve strategic output and impact.
  • Create clear run-of-shows and communications plans to support consumer impact across EMEA.
  • Lead, inspire, and educate teammates on cultural and sports insights.
  • Help build a culture of curiosity, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven success leading senior clients, influencing stakeholders, and navigating complex business environments.
  • Recognized understanding of the sports industry from both cultural and community perspectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to design mid- to long-term strategies that drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience working directly within the digital marketing ecosystem of a major global retailer or athletic brand (preferred).
  • Deep, preexisting connections or insights into localized European youth culture and sports communities (preferred).
  • Ability to work in-person twice a week for client-facing collaboration.
  • Strong capability to operate as a senior strategic advisor in a client-facing environment.
