Description

  • Lead architecture for complex data science, AI, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and advanced analytics engagements.
  • Partner with clients to gather requirements, assess data limitations, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Design and guide production-ready solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Spark, and Power BI.
  • Direct model design, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and model performance decisions.
  • Lead discovery sessions, communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, project managers, analysts, and client stakeholders on end-to-end delivery.
  • Directly manage and mentor a Senior Data Scientist Consultant through coaching, feedback, technical reviews, and performance support.
  • Build and review predictive, statistical, optimization, forecasting, and deep learning models using structured and unstructured data.
  • Support proposals, Statements of Work, solution estimates, technical documentation, and project plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert while improving delivery standards, reusable assets, and team processes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, AI, advanced analytics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a senior technical architecture, lead/principal data scientist, or AI/ML architect role.
  • Strong Python proficiency for data science, machine learning, statistical modeling, and production solutions.
  • Experience with Spark, large-scale data processing, and data platforms such as lakes, warehouses, APIs, NoSQL databases, and cloud-native services.
  • Strong experience with Azure data and AI technologies, including Azure Machine Learning and related services.
  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, M365 Agents, or comparable AI frameworks.
  • Hands-on PyTorch experience and a strong foundation in statistics, regression, forecasting, optimization, and machine learning.
  • Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production machine learning models, including time-series methods such as ARIMA, TBATS, Temporal Fusion Transformer, or Prophet.
  • Strong client-facing communication, storytelling, problem-solving, consulting, and technical leadership abilities.
  • Experience mentoring or managing technical staff; approximately 10% travel availability required. Preferred: advanced degree, manufacturing or supply chain experience, Databricks, GPU or compute optimization, C++, research background, or pre-sales consulting experience.
