Description

  • Deliver high-impact professional learning sessions for teachers and school leaders.
  • Guide educators through the implementation and best practices of Mathspace’s digital solutions.
  • Lead engaging professional development both virtually and onsite at schools across Virginia.
  • Support teachers in enhancing instruction, personalizing learning, and using data effectively.
  • Adapt to dynamic district needs, including multiple sessions per week during peak summer implementation.
  • Travel between school sites and manage scheduling across divisions and districts.
  • Provide clear facilitation and ongoing support during onboarding and session delivery.

Requirements

  • Current or former educator with at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Math teaching experience preferred; grades 6–12 experience is ideal.
  • Experience leading professional development, instructional coaching, or educator training sessions in person or virtually.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems such as Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, or Classlink.
  • Experience using EdTech platforms such as Mathspace, Desmos, GeoGebra, or Khan Academy.
  • Comfortable using video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, including Docs/Word, Slides/PowerPoint, and Sheets/Excel.
  • Ability to analyze student performance data and support data-driven instructional practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple assignments across schools or districts.
  • Located within or near Virginia and willing to travel locally up to 80% with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Open to air travel and overnight trips during peak implementation seasons.
  • Preferred experience with Mathspace, Virginia 2023 SOLs, district or school EdTech implementations, multilingual learners, students with disabilities, or advanced academic populations.

Benefits

  • Seasonal per-diem role with peak season from July through October and additional opportunities during the school year.
  • Flexible schedule outside of peak season.
  • Expected availability for the full weeks of August 3rd and August 10th during peak delivery periods.
  • Compensation of up to $550 per full day, depending on format and duration.
  • Additional pay for prep and travel where applicable.
