Description

  • Lead and develop a team of network and software engineers, including performance management and career development.
  • Drive the transition from physical data center infrastructure to a cloud-native network architecture.
  • Own the network operations strategy and roadmap for physical points of presence and cloud infrastructure.
  • Champion infrastructure automation using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Architect, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS cloud networking across environments.
  • Maintain high availability and 99.999% uptime through monitoring, incident response, and continuous optimization.
  • Oversee corporate network infrastructure across headquarters and remote office locations.
  • Manage Cisco Meraki wireless, security appliances, ISP relationships, and circuit capacity.
  • Partner with security, platform, and infrastructure teams to align network decisions with broader business and security needs.
  • Negotiate with vendors and colocation providers and communicate network plans and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of network engineering experience in production environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco switching platforms and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Experience architecting and managing Palo Alto Networks firewall deployments.
  • Deep practical knowledge of AWS cloud networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, CloudFront, and Route53.
  • Track record of owning and maintaining high-availability networks at 99.9%+ uptime.
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Strong foundation in network automation, scripting, and DevOps practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience in payments, financial services, or another highly regulated industry (preferred).
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS or similar compliance frameworks (preferred).
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, or AWS Advanced Networking (preferred).
  • Experience with network observability tools and data-driven monitoring practices (preferred).
  • Background in infrastructure modernization or cloud migration initiatives (preferred).
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies (preferred).
