Description

  • Develop and maintain combined clinical and commercial forecasts in the supply chain management system.
  • Translate enrollment schedules and sales forecasts into master production plans for drug substance, drug product, combination products, and finished goods.
  • Allocate drug substance batches between clinical and commercial use in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain item and material masters in the planning system.
  • Contribute supply chain input to CD&OP and S&OP processes.
  • Issue supply plan requests to CMO teams and integrate approved manufacturing schedules into the master production plan.
  • Generate and communicate bulk material allocations and finished goods production plans to support packaging and labeling operations.
  • Set safety stock guidelines, monitor inventory and expiration dates, and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Develop supply scenarios, assess end-to-end impacts, and partner with finance on budget implications.
  • Identify supply bottlenecks, manage lead times, and support commercial launch readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, life sciences, supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • 3+ years of production planning, inventory control, or demand forecasting experience for both clinical and commercial materials in biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated life sciences.
  • Experience using multiple systems for planning, forecasting, inventory management, and ERP processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for drug substance, drug product, combination products, clinical finished goods, and commercial finished goods.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements for material releases and country requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, SharePoint, and similar tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across the organization and externally and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Domestic or international travel required (10-20%).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
