Description

  • Evaluate and refine credit policies and models for consumer and SMB credit card products to reduce losses and improve profitability.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies for managing consumer and SMB credit card portfolios.
  • Conduct risk segmentation, behavioral analysis, loss forecasting, line management analysis, and other empirical studies to support underwriting models.
  • Build dashboards and present regular KPI and KRI reports to senior management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements affecting consumer and SMB credit card products.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Banking, Product, Finance, and Data.
  • Partner with external bank partners and customers to support successful credit program launches.
  • Help establish best-in-class credit strategies and underwriting approaches.
  • Solve open-ended risk problems and develop innovative solutions for complex portfolio decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit risk analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, including machine learning techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting complex data to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently on complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve white-space problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Innate curiosity and ability to investigate problems with minimal instruction.
  • Master’s degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and modeling, preferred.
  • Direct experience managing consumer and SMB credit card portfolios, preferred.
  • Experience with automated decision engines, preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards specific to the credit card industry, preferred.

  • Base salary range of $99,000-$123,800 in National locations, $107,200-$134,000 in Premium locations, and $116,600-$145,700 in Premium Plus locations.
